Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This policy explains what Let’s Get Together LTD (“oh hi”, “we”, “us”) collects about you, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it. It covers the oh hi app, the website at ohhi.dating, the Love Line, and our events.

oh hi is a dating service for people in New York City who are 21 or older. We do not show photos between members, we do not run ads, and we do not sell personal information.

1. What we collect

Account and profile

When you sign up we ask for your name, email address, phone number, birthdate, gender, pronouns, and your New York City ZIP code. From these we store your age and your neighborhood. You can add an Instagram handle, a catchphrase, and an occupation.

Your profile is built from your answers: the oh hi quizzes, who you want to date, your age preferences, your availability, the avatar you choose, and your star sign. The matching software scores these answers to suggest matches.

If you ask for a welcome kit, we ask for the cross-streets where it should go. We look those cross-streets up on a map to get approximate coordinates for delivery. Other members never see them.

Membership application and setups

If you apply for a human setup, we keep your application answers and your agreement to the House Rules. You can add one private photo. Only the oh hi team sees it, and only to make setups you agreed to. It is never shown in the app.

What you write

We store your chats with matches, the personals ads you write and the replies to them, your posts and comments, your event RSVPs, and anything you send through the contact form.

Love Line

The Love Line is a text message line run by people. When you text 929-389-3535, we see your phone number and your messages. Operators keep short private notes about each conversation: the topic, a summary, and what happened next.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and Google Play. The store handles your payment details; we never see your card number. The store and our billing partner tell us which plan you have, when it started, when it renews or ends, and whether an introductory offer was used.

Device and usage

The app stores a push notification token and a device identifier so we can send notifications and keep your session working. We record which screens you open and which actions you take, tied to your member ID, so we can see what works. We collect crash reports. Our servers log your IP address to limit abuse. The website records page views without cookies.

Safety reports

If you report a member, or a member reports you, we keep the reason, any context given, who was involved, and a copy of the conversation between you at the time of the report.

People you tell us about

A member or operator may nominate a friend for a setup. We record the friend’s first name and a way to reach them, and only after the friend has agreed to be contacted. Friends can ask us to delete this at any time.

2. Sensitive information

Some of what a dating service needs is sensitive. We process your gender and who you want to date, which can reveal your sexual orientation. Our quizzes ask about your values and your politics. Your private setup photo, if you add one, is an image of you.

We use this information only to make matches, to make setups you agreed to, and to keep the service safe. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it outside the people and providers listed in “Who we share with”. You can skip the quizzes and the photo.

3. How we use it

  • To create and secure your account, and to sign you in with a code sent to your email.
  • To suggest matches and to make human setups.
  • To show your profile and your ads to other members, as described below.
  • To deliver chats, replies, notifications, and emails about your account.
  • To run events, welcome kits, and the Love Line.
  • To bill and manage subscriptions through the app stores.
  • To review reports, enforce the House Rules, and keep removed people out.
  • To understand how the service is used and to fix bugs.
  • To send you news about oh hi. You can opt out of these emails at any time.
  • To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. Who we share with

Other members

Other members see your first name, your age, your neighborhood, your pronouns, your avatar, and the profile details and ads you chose to share. They do not see your photo, your birthdate, your email, your phone number, your ZIP code, or your cross-streets. A member you match with sees what you write to them.

The oh hi team

The people who run oh hi read every ad before it runs, review every report, and make every human setup. They see what they need for that work, including your private setup photo if you agreed to setups.

Service providers

These companies process data for us under contract. They may not use it for their own purposes.

  • Supabase: database, sign-in, and private file storage.
  • Vercel: hosts the website and the API.
  • Adapty: links your App Store or Google Play subscription to your account.
  • Apple and Google: process payments and run the app stores.
  • Knock: sends our emails, push notifications, and text notifications.
  • Expo: delivers push notifications and app updates.
  • Sentry: collects crash reports.
  • Umami: usage analytics for the app and the website.
  • Cloudinary and imgix: store and resize avatar and website images.
  • Upstash: rate limiting by IP address.
  • OpenStreetMap (Overpass): converts welcome kit cross-streets into map coordinates. We send the street names only, never your name.

Everyone else

We share personal information when the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of a member or the public. If oh hi is ever sold or merged, your information would go with it under this same policy, and we would tell you first.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with ad networks or data brokers. We do not share it for targeted advertising.

5. Cookies and tracking

The website sets a cookie to keep you signed in to the member area and a cookie that remembers how you arrived. Our analytics tool counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of. We do not change how the site works in response to those signals.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, your answers, your chats, your ads and replies, your posts and comments, your availability, your RSVPs, your private setup photo, your notification profile, and your billing link. Your matches lose their conversation with you.

Some records stay after deletion. Safety reports stay, with a snapshot of who the people were and a copy of the reported conversation, so we can keep removed people out. We use them only for safety. Love Line notes stay while you are a member and are removed with your account. Billing records stay as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Analytics and crash records that mention your member ID stay with those providers for their standard retention period. Our database backups are overwritten on a short rolling schedule. Webhook logs are deleted after 7 days.

7. How we keep it safe

Data travels over encrypted connections. Photos are stored privately and only served through short-lived links. Access inside oh hi is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. Age

oh hi is for people 21 and older. We check your birthdate at signup and do not create accounts for anyone younger. If we learn that a member is under 21, we close the account and delete the data. If you believe someone under 21 is using oh hi, email support@ohhi.dating.

9. Your rights and choices

You can see and change most of your profile in the app under YOU. You can delete your account in the app under YOU, then Delete account. You can also ask us by email to see, correct, export, or delete your information, or to stop a use you agreed to earlier.

Send requests to support@ohhi.dating or by post to the address below. We confirm it is you by sending a code to the email on your account. Someone you authorize can make a request for you with your written permission. We answer within 45 days and we never treat you differently for asking. If we refuse a request, we tell you why and you can appeal by replying to that email.
